Day 11-true love

It’s no secret that I love online scrapbooking classes.  I’ve reviewed a few of them on this site.  Over on the Daily Digi, Katie has listed and reviewed several of the best places to find online scrapbooking classes.  It’s a comprehensive list that includes her reviews of classes she’s taken, the basic information like the URL and instructors, an overview of the site, current or upcoming classes, and classes she has taken or would recommend.  Also check the comments section of this post for more reviews from readers.

Here’s a brief review of some of my favorite online scrapbooking classes.

Jessica Sprague – I’ve already reviewed her learn digital photo editing course and the beginning digital scrapbooking class, but I’ve taken many classes at Jessica’s site.  I have to say that her classes are the best to learn digital scrapbooking.  Her classes have become more expensive, but she also offers free ones as well.  These free classes are shorter than the others, but no less informative.  I recently took her Pen Tablet Basic for Scrapbookers course. I highly recommend that if you own a pen tablet.  If you’d like to broaden your journaling skills, Type + Writer 1&2 are excellent classes.

Who is Renee Pearson? She’s the author of digital scrapbooking books like, Digital Designs for Scrapbooking 1: Getting Started with Photoshop Elements. This was the first book I ever read about digital scrapbooking, and I still consider it one of the best for learning the basics. She also has a Volume 2 for this book which is also excellent.

New Digital Scrapbooking Classes from Jessica Sprague

Jessica Sprague has just announced 2 new classes over at jessicasprague.com. The classes are:

  • Brush Abilities
  • Beautiful Evidence : 20 pages in 20 days

I’m seriously considering both of these classes.  As I said in a previous post, I’ve been so impressed by Jessica’s teaching style and I’ve learned so much from the classes I’ve taken so far.  Jessica’s online classes are by far the best way to learn digital scrapbooking.  I learned more from a single class from her than I have by reading several books on digital scrapbooking.  There’s something about not only following along with her on video as she completes a page layout that let’s you really absorb the techniques rather than just reading instructions.

Brush Abilities

is an instructor-led, 2-week class in video form.  It includes teaching on both Photoshop Elements and Photoshop.  Like the title says, the class focuses on photoshop brush techniques.  She even includes ideas for organizing your brush collections.

Beautiful Evidence

walks you through completing a 20-page album in 20 days.  Jessica Sprague will not only include page templates for the album, but also a huge kit full of digital scrapbooking goodies to complete your pages.

If you’re interested in either of these classes, visit JessicaSprague.com and click on “Online Classes” to sign up.  Registration starts today, so don’t delay.  Her classes fill up very quickly.
