Have you ever found and downloaded some free scrapbooking fonts and felt like you had just won the lottery or that is was Christmas morning all over again?  Being able to find free supplies for a hobby as fun as scrapbooking is like getting a present, and when you can find a site with wide variety of free scrapbooking fonts it can feel like a lottery win or a great holiday.  After all, wording is a big part of many scrapbook pages and using the same boring fonts over and over again really defeats the purpose of creating scrapbooks in the first place.  You want your pages to be different and artistic and creative and you can't do this if you're using the same of anything on every page, and free scrapbooking fonts are no different!  So how can you be sure you're using them in the best way possible and are really making your pages come alive?  Here are a few simple pointers.

One thing to keep in mind is that many people look for free scrapbooking fonts that are as fancy as they can find.  Most fonts they choose have detailed scroll work and designs, and while these are nice to look at they can be overpowering especially if you have a lot of wording.  What's usually best when using fancy fonts is to write out one word or simple phrase in this fancy font and then use a plainer type for the more involved wording.  Don't assume that the fancier types of the free scrapbooking fonts are going to work for everything; try a plainer typestyle just to see how it looks before you actually print out a page or adhere anything to that page permanently.
