If you've ever spent any time inside a scrapbook store you know it can be a little overwhelming.  There are literally thousands and thousands of items from which to choose, and it's surprising how you can often think that you're all set with your purchases and then walk down another aisle and find dozens of other things you want! 

Most retailers know that when you're inside a scrapbook store you may have an idea of what things you want and what photos and items you're going to be putting into a scrapbook.  You may be shopping for wedding items or something for a graduation, but there are so many different types of paper and craft items you can buy that it really does take your time to shop and browse when you're inside a scrapbook store.  Having an idea in your mind of what you want to create is great but it also pays to keep an open mind as well, and this isn't just so that you're willing to buy more things than you bargained for.

As an example, suppose you just run inside a scrapbook store planning on getting some templates for a family reunion you have coming up or for some vacation photos you have in a shoebox.  While there you notice some really great papers or a nice template that remind you of those pictures you have of your son or daughter's recital, or of their recent sleepover.  Considering how affordable most scrapbook supplies are, why wouldn't you pick up those extra items as well?  This is not just for you but would make a great project for the kids, especially on the next rainy day when they're stuck indoors.  This is another great thing to think about when inside a scrapbook store - you can easily and affordably stock up on papers, templates, kits, embellishments, and all the other items you need to stow away for when you have nothing else to do.  When the kids are stuck indoors and video games have lost their appeal then it's time to pull out the scrapbooking supplies and get to work! 

So when inside a scrapbook store take your time to really browse.  You can find items for specific projects you have that you want to complete or you can easily stock up on items for a future project as well.
