Some Ideas for a Scrapbooking Pet Layout

Many dog and cat owners see their pets as more a part of their family than just a built-in entertainment system.  And is there anything cuter than catching a dog or cat in some silly pose or doing something just downright adorable?  So it's no wonder that many people are on the hunt for some scrapbooking pet layout ideas for keeping track of their cherished memories with their beloved pet.

A lot of the scrapbooking pet layout that you use is going to rely on what type of photo or memento you're keeping.  If it's a fun page or a silly photo then you want a fun quote in a fun script of font; nothing fancy for this!  Get creative with your lettering and what you use for it as well.  There's nothing to say that you can't use Scrabble tiles or words cut from a magazine as opposed to just writing things freehand.  Adding some quotes about animals or at least your pet's name is an important part of your scrapbooking pet layout.  You can even use letter beads that would normally make up a bracelet or necklace as these are typically small enough to be included on a page.

Think of how you can dress up your photo as well.  You can trace what looks like a dog collar for a frame for the photo.  Or use a cutout of a doghouse.  Use a car cutout to frame the photo of your dog as if he's taking a ride or a cutout of a tree as if your cat scampered up.  Remember that there are no right or wrong ways to frame a photo when creating your scrapbooking pet layout so get creative.  You can even step outside the "pet ideas" and use fabric to look as if it's movie theater curtains, pained popsicle sticks, and virtually anything else for a frame.

You will also need to add decorative elements to your scrapbooking pet layout.  One fun element that many pet owners use is a cartoon animal like your pet - a dog or cat of the same breed, for example.  Or you can have a photo of your animal looking as if it's chasing a cartoon of another animal.  Try some different elements and ideas without adhering anything, mix everything up, and be creative; that's the secret to a great scrapbooking pet layout.
