Some printers for scrapbooking also offer borderless printing, which means they print right to the edge of the paper.  Most desktop printers that are designed for everyday use don't have borderless printing but will always leave a slight strip of white around the edges.  While this may be acceptable for some people as you can always trim this in a paper cutter, you may want to spend a few extra dollars and get a printer that offers that borderless printing feature.  As with laser printers, these types of printers for scrapbooking are usually a little bit more expensive but they can be worth it if it means not having to worry about that step of trimming.
