Some Quick Tips for Baby Boy Scrapbooking

Is there anything more exciting than a new baby in the house?  Whether arriving through pregnancy or adoption, making sure that your baby boy scrapbooking is done right and will be something that really celebrates the new little one is something that concerns all new moms who scrapbook.  After all, this isn't like using that photo of your dog with the Frisbee in his mouth or the one of uncle Ted at the family reunion hitting the buffet line once again!  When baby boy scrapbooking you want to be sure that you're really celebrating the arrival of your new bundle of joy but at the same time, have an album that's as unique and original as he is!

With that thought in mind, remember that when baby boy scrapbooking you may be tempted to just use baby blue for your primary color, but consider getting away from this.  Try primary colors such as fire engine red with some black as an accent.  You can even use bold colors such as deep purple or a rusty brown; these are great colors for a boy but are different than other colors you typically see with baby boy scrapbooking.  Remember that the darkest or boldest color might be better as an accent with a lighter shade being emphasized the most.

Remember when baby boy scrapbooking that you don't want to overdo it with the wording.  You may be tempted to tell the entire story of your baby arriving into your home through your scrapbook but don't let your words overwhelm your photo or other memento.  It's usually best to have one large word or phrase per page and then maybe some extra wording on another part of the page, but usually less is more when it comes to quotes and sayings.  When baby boy scrapbooking, let the photo tell the story and don't allow any wording to compete with the photo, rather, it should complement it.

As with all scrapbook pages, make sure you arrange all your elements on your page before actually adhering or gluing them so you can move things around or take things off.  Making up baby boy scrapbooking is no different.  Lay out everything on your page and rearrange it as needed, then look at it several times before making your final decision, and then you can use glue or tape to make things permanent.
