Some Ideas for a High School Senior and Scrapbooking

If you have a high school senior and scrapbooking is a hobby that you both enjoy or something that you just like to do on your own, you may be on the lookout for some ideas on how to commemorate their years in school on some beautiful pages.  Scrapbooking is a great way to keep those cherished memories alive or to preserve them for years to come, but of course you want to do it right and not just slap some items together without any thought as to how the finished product will look.  This of course is true of any pages you're going to create; but for a high school senior and scrapbooking you absolutely should give some initial thought before you begin assembling anything.

What is your book going to show, the last year of school or the senior's entire school experience?  If you're thinking of your high school senior and scrapbooking their entire school experience you of course need some items from those earlier years.  Some parents do keep old report cards, sheets of music from band class, and things like this from their child's youngest years at school but others may not have done so.  In that case it may be best to consider your high school senior and scrapbooking just their last year.

Ask yourself what things really express his or her favorite experiences this last year.  What clubs were they part of and extracurricular activities did they participate in?  What about dances and other events they attended; do you have pictures, the dried corsage, and so on?  The first step when it comes to your high school senior and scrapbooking is making a decision about what will be included before you even begin assembling pages.

And of course you want to remember when thinking about your high school senior and scrapbooking that kids are rarely one-dimensional.  Your child may have excelled in a certain sport but that doesn't mean you shouldn't include great report cards, photos from the school dance or prom, and so on.  Make your book well-rounded so that you have a lot of memories stored up.  You can then decorate with elements that are the same color as the school's colors or use another common element.  Some, when considering their high school senior and scrapbooking, will use the child's first initial on every page for a common theme throughout.
