Some Tips on Making a High School Graduation Scrapbook

When high school is completed many graduates are excited and happy about moving on to new challenges and experiences.  This doesn't mean that anyone wants to just forget all those great experiences they had in school, and of course making and keeping a high school graduation scrapbook can go a long way toward keeping those memories alive and treasured.  It may be tempting to just run out and buy a bunch of scrapbook paper and accessories and start gluing all your pictures on them, but take just a minute to review the following tips for making a high school graduation scrapbook look its best.

For one thing it's important to think about the graduate himself or herself.  Not everyone is into sports or cheerleading or the stereotypical pursuits.  A high school graduation scrapbook is only going to be appreciated if it really expresses the true personality of the person being honored.  So think about him or her for a minute and their personality - did they enjoy band, choir, drama, creative writing, a certain foreign language, or some other pursuit?  Remember that the paper and embellishments you use for a high school graduation scrapbook don't necessarily need to be in the "high school graduation" section of your scrapbook supplier.  You can find theme paper for music, drama, a foreign country, and things such as these just as easily if you take the time to hunt.

And some kids perhaps weren't into any of these pursuits at all.  Some graduates were just very studious kids, and so using paper that is geared toward school, grades, books, math, science, and things like these might be a good idea for a high school graduation scrapbook for him or her.

Of course you don't even need to use a particular school-related theme when making up a high school graduation scrapbook.  What is this person's favorite color scheme?  Use that.  Are they fun and bubbly?  Use a silly theme such as candy or the circus.  Are they romantic and traditional?  Use those pages.  The point is to make the high school graduation scrapbook something personal and unique and that really expresses the personality of the graduate rather than trying to fit it into a template or make it what you think it "should" look like.  And of course the most important tip is to get the graduate involved with making the scrapbook as well!
