Some Quick Tips on Using Halloween Scrapbook Paper
Halloween is of course a favorite holiday for most kids, but it's surprising how many adults also seem to love this fun and festive day as well! So if you're looking for quick tips on using Halloween scrapbook paper, it might not be because you want to commemorate how the kids look in their cute little costumes! Grown-ups want to remember the year they put so much thought into their matching outfits that they won the contest their friend was organizing or the year they decorated their house so well the neighbors all came around to admire it. So whether you want to remember the kids and the fun they had or the grown-ups and the fun they created, here are some simple tips for using Halloween scrapbook paper.
First of all remember that you don't actually need to use what's called Halloween scrapbook paper for your special holiday. Any paper that is appropriate for the fall season will do. If you have a picture of the kids picking out a pumpkin in a field strewn with fallen leaves, then of course paper with autumn leaves will be just fine, or you can use sheets with the same colors. Don't limit yourself to just the typical Halloween scrapbook paper with black cats and bats and jack-o-lanterns. Get creative with the paper you use and this will give you some unique and individual pages.
You might also want to consider some solid color Halloween scrapbook paper so that you can add embellishments and photo frames that will really stand out. Solid color paper as your photo frame is good if the picture is very busy; by using a solid color you allow the picture itself to really stand out and the paper won't be competing with the photo. You can also use solid color Halloween scrapbook paper behind your embellishments. Small squares of black paper behind those orange pumpkins will help them to stand out, or try orange paper behind the black cats. If you use paper that is very decorated and detailed then your page might seem crowded and busy. Get creative with the solid Halloween scrapbook papers and use it for borders, frames, and embellishments themselves and your pages will look professional and pulled-together. Of course you want your scrapbooks to be fun so don't get overwhelmed with your Halloween scrapbook paper choices either!
