Some Tips for Making a Great Halloween Scrapbook Album
Did you know that Halloween is the second most expensive holiday for most Americans, just behind Christmas? That's probably because it's such a fun day that involves decorations, costumes, parties, and of course special treats. If you put that much time and effort into making the day fun for adults and kids, why not commemorate it with a great Halloween scrapbook album? Taking pictures is a good idea so that you can remember what fun you had on that day, but as with decorating your house and putting on your costume and makeup, decorating your photos by putting them into a Halloween scrapbook album can be as much fun as the day itself! With that thought in mind, here are some tips to improve your album and really make your photos stand out.
First, keep in mind that most photos in a Halloween scrapbook album are probably going to be quite busy themselves. This is because they probably wont' be landscape photos or just pictures of someone standing against a backdrop, but will probably mean kids or adults in costumes standing in a heavily decorated room. So it may be best to keep your decorating and embellishments to a minimum. If you have too many items on the page they may look as if they're competing against your pictures and everything in your Halloween scrapbook album may look too busy. This might be a difficult step to follow since there are so many fun and interesting embellishments available for Halloween pages, but consider making up more pages to use all those embellishments rather than trying to fit them all onto one page!
Also, you may want to remember the typical colors used for a Halloween scrapbook album, that is, black and orange but be careful about overdoing it with these colors as they are very bold. Instead, consider making some pages that are black and white or dressing them up with autumn colors such as rusty red and golden shades of yellow for accents. Your Halloween scrapbook album shouldn't look like everyone else's so of course you'll want to use different types of decorations and different colors can also go a long way toward giving your pages some personality. Keep these tips in mind for your Halloween scrapbook album and you'll be sure to have a scrapbook that everyone will love for years to come!
