Using Sports Scrapbooking Products for Great Pages

There's no end to the number of sports scrapbooking products that one can purchase for pages made at home.  From themed paper to embellishments, stickers, and even little foam or rubber balls and other elements, using the right products can really make for beautiful and fun pages and albums.  But there are some cautions to remember when you start shopping for sports scrapbooking products, and things to remember when you're ready to produce your pages.

For one thing, just because there are sports scrapbooking products out there doesn't mean you should just throw all caution to the wind and buy anything and everything that catches your eye.  Many new scrappers make the mistake of putting all the elements that catch their eye on their pages and this can make everything seem far too crowded and busy.  It can also overwhelm the main elements of your page, namely, the picture or other memento you're displaying.  It's always a better idea to have too little on a page and add only a few small things than to have too much that you can't take away.  Be selective about the sports scrapbooking products you purchase and use.

You also want to make sure that you don't put too many sports scrapbooking products on a page that already has a design on it.  It's tempting to want to coordinate and match everything but a bunch of little foam footballs on a page that's already decorated with footballs can also be overwhelming.  It might be a better idea to again be selective about the sports scrapbooking products you use and instead use something more neutral but just in a good color that coordinates and complements everything.  You can also make sure to just use your team's colors rather than adding a bunch of elements.  A page that's all blue and white or brown and yellow or whatever your colors are can be just as attractive if not even more so than a page crammed with all the sports scrapbooking products you could find.

And one last good idea for sports scrapbooking products is to use them in a creative and unusual way.  Little footballs or two baseballs can be a nice frame for a picture or the text you use on the page.  Cut out little squares to look like baseball bases, or draw a grid on the page to resemble a football field.
