Using Scrapbooking Cruise Stickers

If you've ever taken a cruise then you probably are thinking that you would love to keep that feeling of being on the water and enjoying a great vacation for as long as you can.  Many find that creating scrapbooks with their cruise photos is a great way to do that, and using scrapbooking cruise stickers can really add a lot of decorative elements to your pages - if you know how to do it right!

One thing you want to remember about using scrapbooking cruise stickers is that many scrapbooking pages are already decorated with cruise elements - ships, anchors, the ocean, and so on.  If you add too many scrapbooking cruise stickers on top of that your page is going to look busy and overdone.  You might want to use these stickers on plain pages or be sure to use them very sparsely.

Just putting scrapbooking cruise stickers on your pages haphazardly isn't going to improve the appearance of your pages at all.  Make a plan for how you're going to arrange them on the page.  Experienced scrappers always put their stickers on the pages before they peel off the backing so they can move them around and try a few different arrangements; once they're happy with how everything looks they can then adhere things permanently.

Get creative with your scrapbooking cruise stickers.  Many come in the design of "old time" cruises or rustic maritime boats.  This can really give some personality to your pages rather than simply using boats and the phrase "bon voyage" in your album.  Remember too that you can have it match your cruise if it was something unique itself, such as if you went whale watching or cruised the Alaskan waters rather than tropical areas.  Use scrapbooking cruise stickers in the shape of whales or icebergs, or even find stickers in the shape of the lands you cruised around, whether it was Mexico or the Bahamas or Florida.

Don't overdo it with your scrapbooking cruise stickers; make more pages with additional stickers if you have several that you want to use.  You can also use them in unique and original ways, such as lining them up to be the border of a photo or the page itself.  There is a lot of variety of options for you once you start shopping, and if you apply these tips you're sure to have a great scrapbooking album.
