Some Tips on Choosing the Right Layouts for a Wedding Scrapbook

With all the decisions someone needs to make when it comes to a wedding, who would have thought that picking through the many layouts for a wedding scrapbook would be just one more?  But considering all the many options and choices there are out there, you may do well to give this some thought and consideration before you even start shopping your favorite scrapbook retailer.

One thing to remember about layouts for a wedding scrapbook is that there are many different themes and tones to them.  Some are very old-fashioned and romantic, others are very modern and bold, and of course there are many that fall somewhere in between.  So you need to ask yourself what kind of bride you are and what type of wedding you're having.  A very modern wedding with bold colors is not going to look right with Victorian layouts for a wedding scrapbook, and a wedding that is very traditional and elegant won't seem right in that modern-day design with strong colors.  You want your scrapbook pages and papers to complement and coordinate with what's in your pictures, not compete with them or seem out of harmony.  Remember that you do the same for all your other pictures you put in scrapbooks - you don't take a picture of a walk through the woods and put it on a page with sailboats, and so on.  Do the same when it comes to choosing layouts for a wedding scrapbook so that everything looks coordinated and planned.

Another good thing to remember when choosing layouts for a wedding scrapbook is that you might want to make some mini scrapbook albums as gifts for friends and relatives.  Your grandmother or favorite aunt may appreciate a mini album with some photos of friends and relatives, and if you purchase mini albums that also complement this can make everything feel harmonized as well.  Choose layouts for a wedding scrapbook that offer not just standard sheets but things that at least complement your main album in smaller sizes.  Of course you can give a full-size album to someone else if you so choose; this is just a suggestion.

Because there are so many layouts for a wedding scrapbook you don't want to get overwhelmed and start taking the attitude that your scrapbook is going to be a chore rather than a joy.
