Making up a wedding scrapbook is a popular project today.  Having wedding photos in an album is great, but adding the embellishments and other elements you use in a scrapbook is an even better way of making those photos come to life.  However, figuring how to scrapbook wedding layouts is not always as easy as you might assume.  You might be tempted to just purchase a kit and add your own photos, and certainly there's nothing wrong with this, but being able to put in your own personal touches and decorative elements is part of the fun of scrapbooking.  After all, you probably did that for the wedding itself, didn't you?  So how can you add some personal elements and touches to scrapbook wedding layouts and make them really stand out?

First, be selective with your photos.  You probably have literally dozens if not hundreds from which to choose, but it's very easy to get overwhelmed when it comes to ideas to scrapbook wedding layouts.  You might want to pick photos that reflect the timeline of the wedding - dating photos, the engagement party, selecting the dress, and so on.  This might be too much for one book but you can make your own decision as to what to include and when to break it up.  Since your scrapbook wedding layouts can have as many pages as you choose, some find that this is a fun way to "document" the couple entirely.  You can even start with baby pictures of both of you!  This really makes it feel as if you're leading up to the wedding from years beforehand.

Second, remember that photos are not the only things you want to include in scrapbook wedding layouts.  Think of using an invitation, a program, and any other printed material.  You can also take some flowers from your bouquet or a corsage and flatten them to include.  Some also have personalized candy bar wrappers as wedding favors, and keeping one of these is good as well.  When you add items like this to your scrapbook wedding layouts you really get a feeling for the entire wedding overall.

Third, make your scrapbook wedding layouts really personal to you.  Get inspiration from other designs but create your own pages using embellishments and decorations that appeal to you and to your eye, not just what you think you "should" do with your scrapbook.
