Some Tips on Using Disney World Scrapbook Page Layouts

What is a better family vacation than a trip to Disney?  Whether it's California or Florida, it can be the trip of a lifetime for both children and adults alike.  And since the vacation is virtually guaranteed to be so enjoyable, why not commemorate the time by using some Disney World scrapbook page layouts?  By tying in photos of Disney with actual Disney elements, you can create albums that are cohesive and professional looking while still being fun.  Here are some basic tips to remember about using and incorporating Disney World scrapbook page layouts that you might want to consider when creating such albums.

First, keep in mind that there are many companies that are licensed to carry materials for Disney World scrapbook page layouts.  When shopping online you definitely want to give yourself enough time to pick and choose the right ones for you.  As a matter of fact, your biggest problem may be trying to narrow down your choices to what works best for you since you have so many things from which to choose.  You can find papers, titles, borders, wording, stickers, and all sorts of other embellishments that will work on your Disney World scrapbook page layouts so don't think you'll be at a loss for finding what you need and what will work for your pages.

Also, keep in mind that there are many different aspects to any Disney World scrapbook page layouts and you may want to consider what made your vacation special and unique.  For example there are elements that specifically tie in with Orlando, Florida, while others feature Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and their Animal Theme Park.  Depending upon which part or attraction you've visited you may want to take the time to consider these specific elements for your own Disney World scrapbook page layouts.  This can really make your page special and seem as if they've been given a lot of thought, as opposed to just using generic Disney items.

On the other hand, you may want to consider some of those generic items so that your photos and mementos really stand out on the page and aren't overwhelmed by the decorative elements.  You can use stickers of mouse ears, castles, roller coasters, carousels, and other items that would be perfect for your Disney World scrapbook page layouts, to really emphasize that these are commemorating a Disney vacation.  You might even find stickers of fireworks that would work, since of course many appreciate the fireworks displays at the Disney resorts!  So shop around when planning your Disney World scrapbook page layouts and use what fits best.

For some, it's not a Disney vacation that is being commemorated but perhaps one's favorite movie or character.  Children especially love putting together Disney World scrapbook page layouts if they feature their favorite Disney character, whether that be Cinderella, Mickey Mouse, Ariel, or Aladdin.  You can have a picture from family movie night where you watched one of these movies and use that as a focal point for your Disney World scrapbook page layouts, decorating them with stickers and other embellishments featuring these great characters.  What a fun way to get the kids involved in the hobby of scrapbooking, and what a great idea for those rainy days when they're stuck inside looking for something to do!

Don't forget too when designing Disney World scrapbook page layouts that many other movies have been produced by the Disney studios and your children may enjoy working with elements from those as well.  These include The Lion King, Toy Story, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Lilo and Stitch, and many others.  When shopping for elements for Disney World scrapbook page layouts you may be surprised to see so many of your child's favorite movies listed on these sites.  To really get your children involved with scrapbooking, don't hesitate to consider using these elements for a page they create.  If you've saved your ticket stubs for when you went to see these movies, that's a great thing to use for Disney World scrapbook page layouts.

And of course you don't need to use special papers and embellishments for those Disney World scrapbook page layouts.  Any vacation page or a page of when everyone went to the movies can be dressed up with normal scrapbook elements and papers.  Find something that is color coordinated with what is in the photograph - if it's a beach scene, get some baby blue paper or something beige to match the sand.  If it's a picture of your little girl, try pink paper and of course blue for the boys.  While using Disney specific items is nice for Disney World scrapbook page layouts, it's of course not a requirement.  Remember, there are no rules to scrapbooking!  Use what looks good to you and what works with the photos you have and you'll find that the pages look their best.  Some people make the mistake, when using themed paper and embellishments of any type, to go overboard in this direction and to make every little item the same.  Disney World scrapbook page layouts are no exception, but unfortunately it can make it look like you've gone into Disney overload!  You may even want to consider having several pages that are somewhat more generic, or start with generic paper and limit yourself to two or three Disney related items on each page.  This way the pages will definitely look Disney themed but won't look as if they're a Disney World billboard!

And as with all pages, when creating Disney World scrapbook page layouts be sure to lay out all your elements on the page without gluing anything so that you can move things around, take things away, and so on.  Once you're completely happy then you can use glue or tape to make your Disney World scrapbook page layouts permanent, but don't do this until you're sure.  This way your pages will look polished and professional and will be enjoyed for years to come!
